Representatives of small and medium-sized businesses in Bashkiria can buy machinery and equipment preferentially. The corresponding law is planned to be adopted by the State Assembly of the Republic on April 25.
As Chairman of the Republican Parliament Konstantin Tolkachev told Bashinform News Agency, the initiative will expand the opportunities for entrepreneurs to participate in the privatization of property.
“Today, small and medium-sized businesses use many means of production. This is mainly agricultural, construction, and other equipment. Entrepreneurs cannot compete equally with large organizations when privatizing state and municipal property. State authorities and local governments are not entitled to give them any advantages in holding open tenders and auctions. As a result, entrepreneurs cannot keep the equipment they use, and the very existence of their businesses is in jeopardy. The out-of-competition method of privatization, in which entrepreneurs will have the primary right to buy out a leased property, will become an effective tool to support business,” the speaker explained.
Previously, businessmen in the region had the opportunity to acquire rental property profitably.
