Digital subpoenas to recruits through the "State Services" will begin to be sent already this spring call. So far, in test mode, they will be sent only to the country’s capital, said the military commissar of Moscow, Maxim Loktev.
“We will begin, in test mode, to notify citizens about their appearance at military commissariats through the State Services portal, via SMS messages, and by phone. As for everything else, the current legislation has not changed,” Maxim Loktev said.
The military commissar also stressed that the issuance of electronic subpoenas would be possible only after the adoption of a resolution by the Russian government.
As Bashinform News Agency wrote earlier, Vladimir Putin signed a law creating a unified register of persons liable for military service and introducing electronic subpoenas. The document was published on the official Internet portal of legal information. According to the innovations, citizens will receive electronic notifications and paper subpoenas. They can be sent to persons liable for military service in writing against receipt or by registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt. The electronic subpoenas will be considered delivered from the moment it is posted in the personal account on the State Services.
Recall that by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the spring draft started on April 1. It will last until July 15 this year. According to the law, Russian citizens aged 18 to 27, who are not in reserve, will be called up in the amount of 147 thousand people. About 5,500 recruits will be called up from Bashkiria, Mikhail Blazhevich told the Bashinform News Agency.
