To breed a population of Belarusian bison, 18 individuals will be brought to Bashkiria in 2023, Bashinform News Agency reports. The Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology, Niyaz Fazylov, spoke about this at the operational meeting of the government of Bashkortostan in the Republic Management Center.

The head of the department spoke about the Ecological Forum and the VII specialized exhibition "Ecology and Technologies" held in Ufa, in which more than 50 companies from 9 regions of Russia took part. During the forum, some agreements were signed, particularly on implementing international and foreign economic relations in creating a bison group in the Republic of Bashkortostan.

“Good event. It is important to fulfill all the agreements and expand the scale of our activities in this area,” Andrey Nazarov noted.

Recall that earlier, Bashinform News Agency reported that in Bashkiria, a group of bison is planned to be placed on the territory of the state zoological reserve, which borders on the Muradymovskoye Gorge natural park in the Kugarchinsky district. This was announced at a meeting with the heads of rural settlements of Bashkiria by the Head of the Republic, Radiy Khabirov.
