The Ufa Mayor, Ratmir Mavliev, spoke on his social media about the progress of the large-scale reconstruction of the October Revolution Street. According to him, work is now underway from Novomostovaya Street to Vorovskogo. The contractor dismantled the contact network of electric transport and lighting poles and removed engineering networks and communication cables. We started rebuilding the gas pipeline and water supply networks and working on the sidewalk.
The mayor recalled that as a result, Oktyabrskaya Revolutsii Street would change its meaning to a pedestrian one: the roadway will be reduced to 7 meters, one lane in each direction. Bicycle lanes will appear, and sidewalks will be expanded to 4.5 meters. Comprehensive landscaping of large-sized trees and a “clear sky” without wires is also provided.
In the second stage, it is planned to improve the yards and restore the facades of houses with the status of "Object of cultural heritage" from Tsyurupa to Vorovsky. As Bashinform News Agency wrote earlier, the administration has already decided on the contractor for the second stage of reconstruction.
“Construction is always an inconvenience. I ask for patience and understanding. The result is worth it,” Mavliev summed up.
