

Ufa hit the Top 10 regarding the quality of the urban environment in Russia for 2022. This was reported concerning a study by the Ministry of Construction of the country in the mayor's office of the capital of Bashkiria.
The city was in 7th place, scoring 208 points out of a maximum of 360. Experts assessed the city's degree of well-being in terms of safety, comfort, environmental friendliness, identity, diversity, and other criteria, noting the authorities’ work in creating new parks and squares, building children's and sports grounds, reconstructing embankments, etc.
In total, 1117 cities in Russia participated in the rating. Moscow was recognized as the leader with 299 points. Earlier, Bashinform News Agency wrote that over the past four years, Bashkiria had become the best in implementing industrial policy, took 4th place in the scientific and technological development rating, and entered the top five of the national investment rating.
