It will become easier for compatriots living on the territory of unfriendly states to join the state program to promote voluntary resettlement in Russia. Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Mishustin, signed the decree. It is necessary to fulfill the presidential order, by which he made changes to the state program to promote the voluntary resettlement of compatriots to Russia, the press service of the Russian government reports.

Now compatriots will be able to apply for participation in the state program not only in the state in which they permanently reside but also in the state of which they are citizens or in the country of their actual residence. In addition, there will be no need to translate and notarize documents where the entries are duplicated in Russian.

In addition, the decision on participation in the program of compatriots who arrived in Russia and received refugee status or temporary asylum in our country will be made according to an accelerated procedure - this will take 25 working days instead of 40. The package of necessary documents will also be reduced. Presenting a birth certificate, information about education, work experience, and many others will be optional.
