Priority directions for medical industry development in Bashkiria named

The Minister of Health of Bashkiria, Airat Rakhmatullin, believes the department has fulfilled the tasks set out last year by the Head of the Republic and the government in medicine. He told a Bashinform News Agency correspondent about this following the results of the reporting meeting in the State Assembly of the region.

Recall that Radiy Khabirov called healthcare a critical factor in the stable development of the social sphere. Today, 16 facilities are being designed and built, including the new surgical building of the Republican Cardiology Center, the Republican Center for Pediatric Oncology and Hematology, and 10 polyclinics. There were no similar volumes in the region before.

Among the priority areas in medicine are personnel policy and the modernization of the ambulance service.

“We will make every effort to retain and attract young professionals. Of course, there are financial programs and work with specialized educational institutions. We also plan to reduce the time and improve the availability of medical care, including emergency care,” Airat Rakhmatullin emphasized.

As recalled during the meeting, in 2022, the infant mortality rate decreased by 26% in the republic, and life expectancy was a record 73 years.

It became known that Bashkiria purchased medical equipment worth more than 17.5 billion rubles last year.
