The validity of the driving licenses obtained in 2012 and 2013 has been extended by three years. Izvestia reports this regarding Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev.
During a keynote speech at an expanded meeting of the board of the department, its head stated that it was not necessary to extend such a driver's license. The validity of the document will be extended automatically by three years.
Drivers whose driving license expires between January 1, 2022, and December 31, 2023, will not need to apply through the State Services to replace the document and visit the traffic police.
According to Vladimir Kolokoltsev, the decision was made to reduce the burden on the bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia and for the car owners’ convenience.
