Leading urologists from Russia, Europe, the CIS, China, and other countries gathered in Ufa

Ufa is hosting the II Eurasian Congress of Urology. More than two thousand well-known and recognized specialists from the regions of Russia, Europe, the CIS, China, and other countries have gathered in the capital of Bashkiria, Maxim Zabelin, Chief of Staff of the Head of Bashkortostan, said on his Telegram channel.

“We have a lot to be proud of. One of the leading urological scientific schools in Russia operates in Bashkortostan. In the only center of high-tech robot-assisted surgery in the Volga Federal District based on the BSMU Clinic, the most complex operations are performed using the Da Vinci system. The Institute of Urology and Clinical Oncology has recently opened at the same university,” said Maxim Zabelin.

The Bashinform News Agency learned that a real-time broadcast of demonstrative operations was organized at the forum for urologists. Specialists must see and discuss the technical methods of conducting operations to get a complete picture of the surgical treatment method, Maxim Zabelin noted.

“We expect that the new format will become an important tradition for holding subsequent Eurasian Society of Urology congresses,” added Maxim Zabelin.
