Bashkiria ranks third in Volga Federal District regarding tourist flow

According to the information from the government of Bashkiria, at the end of 2022, the republic was in 3rd place in the Volga Federal District regarding tourist flow. In Tatarstan, 3.7 million trips were recorded. In the Nizhny Novgorod region - 2.2 million, and in Bashkortostan - 1.9 million visits.

The volume of paid tourist services in Bashkiria amounted to 13.5 billion rubles (+25% by 2021).

1.255 million people stayed in hotels, motels, and hostels.

In total, there are 640 collective accommodation facilities in the region, of which 375 have passed the classification (which is indicated by “stars” or received certification “without stars”) - from January 1, 2022, hotels cannot operate without accreditation.

As Bashinform News Agency reported, the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Maxim Reshetnikov, at a meeting on the development of tourism in the Ishimbay region, noted that the occupancy of Bashkir hotels is very uniform and practically does not depend on the season - approximately 45% (winter - 43.4%, spring - 50.2%, summer - 47.6%, autumn - 43.6%).

Regarding the number of vacationers in sanatoriums, the republic is in 5th place in the Russian Federation. In total, 56 health resort organizations, 55 tour operators, and 920 travel agents work in Bashkiria.

46.8 thousand people work in the tourism sector.

492 students receive specialized higher education in Ufa universities to work in the industry.
