Bashkiria is one of safest country regions

According to the results of 2022, published on the official statistics website of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, 50,751 crimes were committed in the republic (12.7 crimes per 1,000 people), which is below the national average of 13.87 crimes. If we count from the most criminal to the most peaceful regions, we are in 49th place, and this is the second half of the list. In the most criminogenic areas of the country - the Amur Region and the Altai Territory, about 21 crimes occur per 1,000 inhabitants - 40% more than in Bashkiria.

Since 2015, the number of crimes in the republic has been declining yearly. Earlier, law enforcement officers recorded more than 57 thousand crimes. That is, over the past four years, their number has decreased by 11.6%

The indicator per 1000 people is considered the most correct since it feels the total population. If 500 people live in a village and 10 crimes have been committed, then the criminogenic situation in the village is worse than in a million-strong city, where 10,000 crimes were committed.
