January 11 is the Day of Reserves and National Parks of Russia. In this regard, the Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, reminded us on his social networks about the beauty of the nature of our republic.
There are three nature reserves in Bashkortostan (Bashkirsky, Yuzhno-Uralsky, Shulgan-Tash) and one national park - Bashkiria. The total area of these specially protected natural areas of national significance is about 400,000 hectares. And there are also five natural parks - Iremel, Muradymovskoe Gorge, Kandry-Kul, Asly-Kul, and Zilim - and 27 state nature reserves. Their total area exceeds 570 thousand hectares.
“The special status of these territories helps protect unique natural corners, rare plants, and animals. But we do not forget about tourists and try to create conditions for them - new tourist routes, eco-trails, and campsites. We develop different directions for those who love outdoor activities - mountain, water, and speleotourism. As a result, attendance at these places is steadily growing. For example, 125.7 thousand people came to the Bashkiria National Park in 2022 (10 thousand more than in 2021), almost 97 thousand people went to the Kandry-Kul Natural Park, and 47 thousand people came to the Canyon Muradymovskoye. I invite everyone to travel around Bashkortostan. And take care of nature! - wrote Radiy Khabirov.
