Ministry of Emergency Situations warns citizens about severe frosts down to -45 degrees in Bashkiria
The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for Bashkortostan informs citizens about the deterioration of weather conditions. According to the forecast of the Bashhydrometeorological Center, at night and in the morning of January 10, severe frost is expected in places across the republic. The thermometers will drop to -40 and -45 degrees.
Fog is also expected with reduced visibility to 500 meters or less.
Earlier, Bashinform News Agency informed that an absolute minimum air temperature was registered at the Ufa-Dema weather station on January 9. The thermometers dropped to -39.1 degrees. The previous temperature record was observed in 1974, 49 years ago, and was -37.9.
