Bashkiria enterprises modernized equipment and technologies in the amount of 4.5 billion rubles as part of the environmental protection measures in 2022, the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic said.
Two control stations in Ufa and Sterlitamak were acquired to organize a system for monitoring atmospheric air quality in 2022. For these purposes, the republican budget allocated 60 million rubles. The commissioning of this equipment is planned for 2023.
New automated atmospheric pollution control stations in Uchali and Uchilinsky district were accredited last year.
Bashkiria participated in the project to create carbon training grounds, where carbon balance technologies will be developed and tested in 2022. A carbon polygon was built in the region, the operator of which was assigned to UGNTU, and the project’s industrial partners became JSC BSK and BashSU. The Ministry of Ecology plans to equip the landfill with the necessary equipment in the coming year.
“Thanks to the joint efforts of authorities, departments, enterprises, and residents of the region, today Bashkortostan retains high positions in various environmental ratings. We have many large-scale environmental projects ahead, which are aimed at improving a comfortable environment, which means much work that we must do with dignity and efficiently”, commented the Minister of Nature Management and Ecology of the Republic of Niyaz Fazilov.
