Sergey Chirkov will head Russian Pension and Social Insurance Fund
Mikhail Mishustin appointed Sergei Chirkov as chairman of the Pension and Social Insurance Fund.
He began working at a Russian Pension Fund in 2001, where he rose from Chief Specialist to Acting Chairman of the Board.
A unified Pension and Social Insurance Fund will begin to operate, combining the PFR and the FSS from January 1, 2023. The merger of structures will improve the quality of service to citizens, make it faster and more convenient to draw up and provide social support measures and reduce the administrative burden on business, the press service of the Pension Fund notes.
The new department will retain all payments, services, and obligations within the competence of the PFR and the FSS.
