Public sector incomes will grow along with average salary in economy in 2023

Vladimir Putin approved the list of instructions following the meeting with the government. They relate to ensuring the growth of salaries of state employees, according to the website of the President of the Russian Federation.

Until December 15, it was instructed to send additional transfers to the budgets of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation to achieve the target wage levels for public sector employees, taking into account the actual growth rate of wages in the economy.

By March 30, 2023, the government will have to analyze the activities of federal budgetary institutions, including the level of salaries of their employees and the quality of work, and submit proposals to improve their efficiency.

At the same time, the government of the Russian Federation and the executive authorities of the constituent entities were instructed to ensure an increase in the wage fund for employees of public sector institutions at the beginning of 2023 based on the actual growth rate of the average monthly accrued wages of employees employed in the economy at the end of 2022, providing for further adjustment by the dynamics of the growth rate of the average salary in the economy.

Earlier, Bashinform News Agency reported that the salary of state employees in 2023 would increase in Russia by 8%.
