Russian government has expanded medical products list for children with disabilities
Nine new items will be added to the list of medical products for children with severe illnesses from 2023. In total, the updated list contains 103 items, according to the Telegram channel of the Russian government.
Health food products are essential for children with rare diseases. These are specialized liquid and dry mixtures. They are purchased at the expense of budgetary funds and are given to patients free of charge by prescription. The list of products is formed annually by a special commission of the Ministry of Health with the participation of the chief freelance specialist in medical genetics. The government then approves the document.
