Influenza with the most serious damage came to Russia

A flu variant, which causes the most severe damage to health, came to Russia this year. This was announced by the head of Rospotrebnadzor, Anna Popova, on the Russia 1 TV channel.

According to her, this is the influenza A (H1N1) virus of the pandemic 2009 - it was then that it first appeared as flu with a high potential for spread and caused a pandemic. Influenza occurs with many complications, and deaths among people with poor health are not uncommon.

Rospotrebnadzor takes all the necessary measures in full, depending on the region. For example, a new methodological letter for schools has been prepared.

“If in a class, especially at school, more than 20% of students do not come to class, then this class (school) should be released for distance education so that children do not continue to transmit the infection to each other and become infected,” Anna Popova emphasized.

The first symptoms of the disease include weakness, fever, general malaise, and discomfort in the nose and throat. The minimum incubation period can be several hours, and the maximum is seven days. The head of the supervisory agency advised to immediately consult a doctor to determine whether it is the flu or COVID-19.
