Boris Kovalchuk: We use Russian equipment when modernizing power plants

When modernizing our power plants, we primarily use domestic equipment. During the renovation of power unit No. 3 of the Karmanovskaya GRES in Bashkortostan, only Russian equipment was used, said Boris Kovalchuk, Director General of PJSC Inter RAO.

"Small difficulties that may affect the launch of power plants after modernization will not affect the stable operation of the country's energy system and its reliability. A sufficient reserve has been created in Russia to commission new power units. Recently, our company acquired machine-building assets that previously belonged to the German concern Siemens, the production of gas turbine components, one of the largest transformer plants in the world. In Bashkortostan, we also have big plans to provide electricity to new enterprises built in the republic," said Boris Kovalchuk.
