Rospotrebnadzor reported what kind of Covid-19 strain most often infects Bashkiria’s residents

According to the results of the studies of Rospotrebnadzor, Bashkiria’s residents are often sick with Covid-19 strains such as Omicron V/V5 (95.8%). Less infection was revealed by its closest varieties - Omicron Va.2.75 (2.5%) and Omicron BQ.1.1 (2 cases).

The Rospotrebnadzor Office of Bashkiria warns that since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, in the conditions of the formed collective immunity, Covid-19 is trying to survive in people’s population, so it constantly mutates.

Changing the properties of viruses depending on conditions is a normal evolutionary process; scientists constantly monitor them.

“Much attention is paid to how the virus changes transmission properties, contrast, and survival time in the environment. That is, everything that affects the incubation period, the rate of distribution, and the severity of the disease caused by it,” the supervisory authority reports.
