Four projects from Bashkortostan at once won the Grand Prix of the prestigious Russian Event Awards 2022. Head of the Republic Radiy Khabirov announced this on his social media.
The winners are:
Festival of hospitality "Kupets 2.0" in the city of Sterlitamak, nomination "The best historical tourist event";
Tourism Development Center of Bashkortostan, nomination "The best regional organizer of tourist events";
Project of the Victory Parade for the 78th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, nomination “The best idea of a tourist event”;
47th Congress of the International Federation of Beekeeping Associations “Apimondia”, nomination “The best project of a tourist event not implemented due to COVID-19”.
“38 tourism projects from our republic reached the final, and 18 received awards in total. The jury singled them out among 600 projects from 62 regions of Russia. Such a result was reached for the first time. I congratulate you on it,” Radiy Khabirov expressed his gratitude to the award participants.
The Head of the Republic also noted that among the winners in various nominations were the annual sports festival "Day of 1000 Cyclists", the festival "Heart of Eurasia", the festival of historical reconstruction "The River of Time", the festival of the Bashkir horse "Bashkort ata" and others.
“These victories are, in fact, the realization of our idea that each region of Bashkortostan should have its event tourism so that those events that are typical for a particular area are held. After all, each district, each village, and city are special and original. This is a big, systematic work,” the Head of the Republic posted on his VKontakte page.
