Chairman of the Bashkortostan State Assembly Konstantin Tolkachev, in his speech at the solemn meeting dedicated to the Day of the Internal Affairs Agencies staff, noted that since the formation of the Soviet police, forms and structures have changed, but traditions have remained unchanged. According to him, the Agency’s main task is to protect public order, peace, and citizens’ security.
Chief Federal Inspector for the Republic Aleksey Kasyanov stressed that November 10 was celebrated as a national holiday.
“The police officers are at the forefront. Your service is significant and dangerous, you steadfastly withstand all tests. People's trust is the most important indicator of the effectiveness of your work,” said Alexey Kasyanov.
The Bashkortostan Prosecutor Igor Pantyushin noted that the main slogan of law enforcement officers was to serve the people and the law.
Yury Seryshev, Head of the Bashkortostan Department of the Federal Security Service of Russia, stressed that peace and well-being depended on the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
A congratulatory telegram from the Minister of Internal Affairs of Russia, Vladimir Kolokoltsev, was read at the solemn meeting.
“To stand guard over the law, to protect the interests of citizens, to repel crime is not just a job, it is a calling for strong-willed and courageous people,” the Minister said.
The Minister noted the merits of veterans, whose knowledge and experience are an example for young employees. Vladimir Kolokoltsev wished all Internal Affairs Agencies staff success, well-being, and achievement of their goals.
