Radiy Khabirov laid flowers at Friendship Monument on National Unity Day honor
Solemn laying of flowers at the Monument of Friendship timed to coincide with the Day of National Unity of Russia, took place in Ufa today, November 3.
The ceremony was attended by the Head of Bashkiria Radiy Khabirov. On behalf of the multinational people of the republic, he honored the memory of the events of November 4, 1612, when the militia soldiers liberated the Russian state from the interventionists.
The construction of the Friendship Monument in the capital of the region began in 1957 - in honor of the 400th anniversary of the voluntary entry of Bashkiria into Russia. Today, the memorial has become the personification of unity and good relations between all nationalities living in the region.
