Record harvest in Russia: 150 million tons were harvested

The results of the harvest in the regions were summed up at a meeting of the Russian government, and plans were discussed to complete the autumn fieldwork. A record was reached in terms of grain harvest - 150 million tons were harvested. An increase was achieved in the collection of potatoes, greenhouse vegetables, fruits, as well as soybeans, and rapeseed compared to the same period in 2021.

Such results are a reliable basis for increasing the volume of agricultural production, increasing the level of food security in Russia and, of course, new crops next year, Russian Government Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.

To complete the autumn fieldwork, farmers must be provided with seeds, fertilizers, fuel, and lubricants, the Head of Government recalled.

On behalf of the President of the Russian Federation, additional funds were allocated in the spring to provide preferential loans to farmers at a rate of up to 5%. About 380 billion rubles were allocated for the implementation of the state program for the development of agriculture in 2022.

The gross threshing of grain according to the results of the harvesting campaign amounted to 5.27 million tons in Bashkiria.
