Official delegation including Radiy Khabirov laid flowers at Salavat Yulaev monument
Traditionally, flowers were laid at the monument to Salavat Yulaev in honor of Republic Day. The Head of Bashkiria Radiy Khabirov and guests of honor attended the ceremony. The delegation included Assistant to the President of Russia Vladimir Medinsky, Acting Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin, Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee of the Gomel Region of Belarus Ivan Krupko, and others.
The monument to the national hero of Bashkiria Salavat Yulaev was opened in 1967. Its author, sculptor Soslanbek Tavasiev, was awarded the USSR State Prize for this work. The largest equestrian statue in Russia and Europe consists of a 10-meter pedestal lined with granite and a statue 9.6 m high, cast at the Monumentsculptura Leningrad plant.
