Bashkiria Ministry of Health reported new COVID-19 cases

Over the past day, 342 new cases of COVID-19 have been detected in Bashkiria, the press service of the Ministry of Health of the region reported. In total, almost 296.7 thousand cases have been registered in the republic since the beginning of the pandemic.

Currently, 174 people are receiving the necessary treatment in hospitals, 122 of which are elderly people. 12 patients are in serious condition, and one of them is supported with lung ventilators.

1,630 people receive outpatient treatment, about one-third of them are patients over 60 years old. Over the past day, 175 people have been discharged from hospitals.

“Cases of death from COVID-19 were not registered in the republic per day. In total, 5,785 people have died since the beginning of the pandemic, the vast majority of which, 4,899 cases, are elderly people” - the Ministry of Health of Bashkiria noted.

In total in the republic, it was planned to vaccinate against COVID-19 about 2.485 million people. Meanwhile, almost 3.319 million doses of vaccines have been delivered to Bashkiria.

More than 3.163 million people, or 127.3 percent of the population to be vaccinated, were jabbed with the first dose. More than 2.901 million people, or 116.8 percent of the eligible population, have completed vaccination.

In the last 24 hours alone, almost 15.9 thousand people received the vaccine. At the same time, the number of revaccinated people in the republic reached almost 792.4 thousand people. One of them is the head of the administration of the Head of Bashkiria Maxim Zabelin.

As Bashinform reported earlier, today Maxim Zabelin underwent revaccination against coronavirus infection. According to the head of the administration of the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, this is already his third vaccination against COVID-19.
