The Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkiria, Andrey Nazarov, congratulated all those involved on the Day of the Russian Air Fleet in his telegram channel.
“Historically, our aviation, despite all the difficulties, has always acted as a powerful driver of progress, embodied cutting-edge scientific achievements, labor exploits, and examples of outstanding courage. Today, Air Fleet Day unites all those who take aircraft into the sky and ensure the safety of their flights. I wish you to achieve the highest goals, well-being, and success in your work! Happy holiday!”, Andrey Nazarov posted.
According to him, aviation is one of the most high-tech and dynamically developing industries, an essential structural element of the economy, and the safest mode of transport. Now, with the support of the leadership of Bashkortostan, the production of unmanned aerial vehicles is developing in the republic. Last year, specialists from the USATU and UMPO, at the Eurasian REC, created a unique APD-200 piston engine for ultralight and light aviation, and already this year, drone helicopters must be certified for assembly in Kumertau.
“We are especially proud that Bashkortostan is a major subject in this industry. The Mustai Karim Ufa International Airport is growing every day. Last year a new terminal was opened, and the airport, having served more than four million people, became the busiest in the Volga Federal District and the tenth in terms of passenger traffic in Russia. Our Ufa State Aviation Technical University (USATU) is traditionally included in the international rankings of the best universities on the planet, and the teams of UMPO, UPPO, UAPO, Gidravlika, and KumAPP have been producing advanced equipment for domestic aircraft for many decades. This is an important competitive advantage in the face of sanctions on the supply of components for aviation. Our enterprises will strengthen their positions in the market and get new opportunities to increase the portfolio of orders,” the Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkiria emphasized.
