The Head of Bashkiria Radiy Khabirov expressed admiration for the sights of Uzbekistan on his social media.
“Uzbekistan is stunningly beautiful. There is something to see here - the capital life of Tashkent, tourist gems - Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva, the Fergana Valley, and, in particular, Namangan, where I am now meeting with investors. In the Namangan region alone there are 27 historical sites and holy places. Madrasahs, mosques, mausoleums... This is a flourishing plentiful land, especially in spring and autumn, when fruits and vegetables are in abundance. I would very much like tourists from Bashkortostan to discover it for themselves,” Radiy Khabirov posted.
Besides, the Head of the Republic said that new air routes might be opened from Bashkiria to Uzbekistan.
“Today, there are two flights to Uzbekistan from Ufa - on Sundays, planes fly to Tashkent, on Wednesdays - to Namangan. If the direction is in demand, we will open additional flights. That was not promoted by our Uzbek brothers)) It's just that I am personally very impressed by the beauties of this country,” Radiy Khabirov emphasized.
