Regenerative Medicine and Eye Surgery Institute was created at Bashkir Medical University

The Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, at a meeting in the Science Hour format, discussed with the scientific community the development of an ophthalmological cluster in the region. The project is implemented at the Bashkir State Medical University through the consolidation of resources from the Ufa Research Institute of Eye Diseases and the Alloplant federal center.

According to the BSMU rector Valentin Pavlov, at this stage, by the decision of the academic council of the university, the Institute of Regenerative Medicine and Eye Surgery with an experimental laboratory was created. In addition, the strengthening of the university facilities and equipment continues to expand its capabilities in terms of scientific research and high-tech medical care.

“Our key task is to create on the world map a powerful modern center of ophthalmology with unique competencies,” said Valentin Pavlov.
