One person died of coronavirus in Bashkiria last day

195 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Bashkiria per day. The Ministry of Health of the Republic gives the data on August 16.

At the moment 193 patients are hospitalized, including 116 people over 60 years old. Seven patients are in serious condition, one person is supported with a lung ventilator. 815 people are being treated for COVID-19 on an outpatient basis, 245 of them are elderly people.

During the day, 260 people were discharged with recovery. One death from COVID-19 has been recorded.

14 patients with community-acquired pneumonia were detected per day, and 16 patients with pneumonia were discharged.

In Bashkiria, 3,093,333 people (124.5%) received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine. 2,848,311 people (114.6%) were fully jabbed. The number of revaccinated citizens is 720,594 people. In just one day, 13,299 people received the COVID-19 vaccine.

Of the older population, 926,900 people were jabbed with the first dose, and 849,063 with the second dose. The number of children vaccinated with the first dose is 8,750, and 7,980 children received the second dose.

As previously reported by the Bashinform news agency, in Bashkiria the spread rate of a new coronavirus infection is 1.4, the same as in Russia as a whole. The First Deputy Minister of Health of Bashkiria Azat Rakhmatullin gave this data today.

“Today, the coronavirus situation in Bashkiria is stable, but there is a slight increase. According to the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, an increase in the incidence of coronavirus infection is expected by the end of September or beginning of October”, Azat Rakhmatullin warned.

“The most important thing is vaccination and revaccination. They provide long-term protection. I don’t see any other issues yet, we are all calmly working and monitoring the situation”, Head of Bashkiria Radiy Khabirov said.
