Ufa residents will swim almost 200 km distance for sake of helping special children
«The Labor Reserves» team from Ufa, which included Ruslan Alimgulov, Vladimir Prosvirkin, Evgeny Tarasov and Ildar Salimov, will swim 181 km to help children with disabilities.
Athletes will take part in the X-WATERS Samara 181 championship. The swim starts on August 17. Every day a team of swimmers will cover up to 40 km, spend the night in tents and cook food on a campfire.
According to the Public Chamber of the Republic, the Bashkir team will dedicate their sports activity to children with special needs. The goal of the guys is to raise one hundred thousand rubles for the purchase of physiotherapy equipment for the wards of the Breaking Barriers Foundation. Medical devices will enable children to take rehabilitation courses free of charge.
