In the Bashkir capital, the Crowne Plaza hotel has changed its name to the SheratonPlaza Ufa Congress Hotel.
The decision was made in connection with the change of ownership. At the end of June, the British company InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG) announced that it was leaving the Russian market and transferring its assets to local companies.
“IHG managed 29 hotels in Russia with 6.6 thousand rooms. The company is one of the three largest international chains in the hotel market. To date, the SheratonPlaza Ufa Congress Hotel c continues to accommodate guests,” the official statement of the hotel says.
Recall that the hotel was opened in 2015 as Sheraton. In 2019, IHG took over the hotel and changed its name to Crowne Plaza.
