Lilia Gumerova called successful Bashkiria’s participation in federal education projects

Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Science, Education and Culture Lilia Gumerova positively assessed the results of Bashkortostan's participation in federal education projects.

“It should be noted that the republic occupies a leading position in participation in all projects that relate to preschool, school and higher education,” the senator said at the republican teachers' council in Ufa on August 12.

According to her, today such major federal programs as the construction and overhaul of schools are being implemented in the republic.

“In terms of the number of approved applications for the overhaul of schools, we rank second after Dagestan. In total, 197 institutions will be repaired in the region in the next 2-3 years. We are also actively participating in the school construction program; in the near future, 9 new schools for 12,000 students places will open in the cities and villages of Bashkortostan,” the senator said.

Separately, Lilia Gumerova drew attention to the implementation of the federal program for the development of secondary vocational education.

According to her, the country's leadership took special control over the quality of published textbooks, a special humanitarian direction. It is planned that in the near future the examination of textbooks on literature and history will be brought to the government level.

Lilia Gumerova also informed about the adoption of a new law that freed teachers from the excessive bureaucratic burden.
