Radiy Khabirov announced timing of AL-41ST-25 gas turbine engine prototypes appearance

The Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, on his social media spoke about the timing of a new gas turbine engine AL-41ST-25 appearance, developed by the specialists of our republic.

“Our industrial brand is the AL-31ST engine manufactured by ODK-UMPO, a joint project of Rostec and Gazprom. It is widely used as a drive for gas compressor units. We supply these engines, among others, for the Power of Siberia gas pipeline and the Bovanenkovskoye oil and gas condensate field in Yamal. However, this is the current situation, and we are thinking about the future. The next step is AL-41ST-25, which is even more functional and energy efficient with a power of 25 MW. The prototypes of this engine will appear in late 2023 - early 2024. We will continue to develop the range of domestic engines for the gas industry and increase their production,” Radiy Khabirov posted.

The Head of the Region also noted the importance of reducing Russia's technological dependence on the countries of the West and Europe.

“We need our developments that will minimize dependence on imports. In Bashkortostan, we are actively moving in this direction,” Radiy Khabirov stressed.
