Some territories may introduce moratorium on gold mining ןn Bashkiria

Due to the possible increase in technogenic load, they may introduce a moratorium on the production of mineral gold in some territories of Bashkiria. The Head of the Region Radiy Khabirov reported שbout this at a briefing session of the Bashkiria government.

The issue was discussed at a meeting between Radiy Khabirov and the head of the federal agency for subsoil use, Yevgeny Petrov. The republic plans to come up with a corresponding proposal.

In 2021, to stop the barbaric development of minerals in the republic, an interdepartmental commission on subsoil use was created. Radiy Khabirov highly appreciated its effectiveness.

“I like the way the commission headed by Azat Shamilevich Badranov (First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government RB - ed.) works. Thanks to the joint work of the commission and the Ministry of Ecology of Bashkiria, in 2021, 33 licenses for the right to extract common minerals were canceled, another 22 licenses were suspended, and changes were made to 112 licenses. The collection of taxes on the production of common minerals increased from 117 million rubles in 2018 to 173 million rubles in 2021, and this is not the limit,” the Head of the Region noted.

“The work does not stop there, we need to compensate for the damage,” Radiy Khabirov emphasized.
