Bashkiria received breeding genetic material from Slovakia for artificial insemination of cattle. The valuable cargo was delivered to Ufa by air in special containers with liquid nitrogen with a storage temperature of -196°C.
All 10,400 doses of frozen semen of bulls producing elite breeds were inspected and processed by specialists from the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration for the Republic of Bashkortostan at the checkpoint of the Ufa International Airport.
“The genetic material of breeding animals with high milk and meat productivity was acquired by an Ufa enterprise from a well-known European manufacturer of seed material. The area where the products of animal origin came from is safe for infectious and parasitic animal diseases. Donor animals were subjected to laboratory tests for infectious diseases. The state supervisory agency issued a veterinary certificate form No. 1 for this batch of controlled products," the agency's press service reported.
Since the beginning of 2022, this is the third shipment of imported seed material to Bashkiria. In total, seven batches were delivered with a total of 20 thousand 62 doses.
