Radiy Khabirov held meeting with leading architects of Bashkortostan

On July 19, in the House of the Republic, the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov held a meeting on the architectural appearance of Ufa and the region. Leading specialists in the industry and heads of design organizations of the republic took part in the discussion.

Opening the meeting, Radiy Khabirov spoke about the large-scale work in preparation for the 450th anniversary of Ufa, which will be celebrated in the republic in 2024.

“We have very serious plans. We are renovating parks and public spaces, entrances, and courtyards, building social facilities and, of course, developing infrastructure,” Radiy Khabirov said. “In Ufa, we continue the construction of the Eastern Exit, we have begun the South Gate project, and we are reconstructing a large number of streets. Large social and sports facilities will also appear in the city - the Republican War Veterans Hospital, the Mathematical Lyceum-boarding school, the rowing slalom complex, the Wrestling Palace, and other facilities. You, dear colleagues, are our assistants in this work.”

He also spoke about the concept of cultural and educational institutions that would appear in the capital of the republic. Among them are the interuniversity campus of the world-class Eurasian Scientific and Educational Center and the Eurasian Library, the concept of which was transformed into the project of the Palace of Science and Culture (Bashkortostan DNA).

Chairman of the Board of the Union of Architects of Bashkortostan Ildar Yagudin, on behalf of his colleagues, thanked Radiy Khabirov for the opportunity to discuss topical issues and proposals.

During the conversation, the participants discussed topical issues of the prospective development of settlements, the implementation of modern architectural initiatives, and the training of specialists in the field of urban planning.

Ramil Baimuratov, professor of the Institute of Architecture and Construction of Ufa State Petroleum University, spoke about the need for professional retraining of the chief architects of Bashkortostan regions.

Radiy Khabirov supported this proposal and instructed the government of the republic to work out the possibility of financing the training of municipal architects.

In turn, the Head of the Region suggested holding meetings with representatives of the architectural community more often and discussing interesting projects and initiatives on a regular basis.
