Bashkiria is 4th among Russian regions in number of visitors to cultural events

Last year, the number of visits to cultural events in Bashkiria amounted to 80 million. This is one of the highest figures in the country. The republic yielded only to Moscow, St. Petersburg and the Rostov region. This was announced on social media by the Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkiria Andrey Nazarov.

He noted that the cultural sphere was one of the priorities of the country's development. This direction was very developed in the republic. Thus, in each direction of art, we have formed a festival movement. Bashkir artists actively represent the republic throughout Russia and in the world, and cultural institutions of the region develop ties with neighboring countries. The industry development strategy is reflected in the state program "Development of culture and art in Bashkortostan" until 2028. It includes subprograms for the development of professional art and folk art, the preservation of cultural heritage, and the development of the cultural potential of youth and other areas.

Particular attention is paid in the republic to the renewal of cultural institutions. Thus, the plans include the construction of a new Science and Culture Center, the reconstruction of the puppet theater and the Russian drama theater in Ufa, the overhaul and reconstruction of 10 children's art schools, and two municipal museums. In 2024, for the 450th anniversary of Ufa, it is planned to open the Fyodor Chaliapin Museum and the Museum of Returned Names.
