In this way, Geopark employees fight against vandals who write and draw on rocks and stones.
"Thank you for the clean rocks!" - such signs with ecological navigation are planned to be installed in the Toratau Geopark under construction this season. This was reported by the press service of the facility.
“Rock "painting" is the most difficult vandalism to remove. Permanent markers can last for years. Such inscriptions are not washed off with a damp cloth and water. You need to use chemicals, sandblasting, and other special tools to remove them,” the employees of Geopark noted. “Probably, young visitors to the Geopark did not think about it, leaving their "digital footprint" - links to social media accounts and classes in which the guys studied”.
Representatives of Geopark contacted the school management and told them about the need to conduct conversations with students on environmental topics when organizing trips. At the beginning of the next academic year, special lessons will be held at schools, during which the scientific staff of the Toratau Geopark will try to convey the importance of preserving the unique geological heritage.
