In 2022, the road workers of Bashkortostan will renew the asphalt concrete pavement on 24 km of roads leading to 13 cultural and historical sites, as well as to places of attraction for residents and guests of the region as part of the national project "Safe High-Quality Roads". This was reported by the press service of the government of the republic.
“Repair and construction of roads leading to tourist places are one of the priorities in terms of the development of the region. We started to bring some of them to the norm last year and do not plan to stop, next year we will continue to work in this direction. It is important that residents and guests of the Republic of Bashkortostan can comfortably and safely get to the places they love,” Alexander Bulushev, Minister of Transport and Roads of the Republic of Bashkortostan explained.
Due to the implementation of the renovation plan, the way to 13 sites in two city districts has already become more convenient for car drivers and tourists using public transport. As part of the repair, road services laid a new asphalt concrete pavement, installed a side stone, and applied markings. In particular, in recent years, Komarov and Mustai Karim streets leading to popular tourist places have been renovated in Ufa.
“Ufa is one of the centers of events and congresses. The main tourist flow comes from business and event tourism. Every year the number of people wishing to visit our city is increasing. According to Sberanalytics, about 890 thousand tourists visited Ufa in 2018, and already in 2021 more than one million tourists came to us,” Elvira Matveeva, Deputy Head of the Consumer Market, Tourism and Consumer Rights Protection Department of the Ufa Administration said.
