About half million residents of republic took part in "Immortal Regiment" procession
487 thousand residents of Bashkortostan joined the "Immortal Regiment" to honor the memory of those who forged victory in the Great Patriotic War.
People walked with prepared printed photographs of their relatives and friends, front-line soldiers, and homefront workers. Processions were held in all cities and regions of the republic.
The largest venue of the "Immortal Regiment" was October Avenue in Ufa, where on May 9 more than 170 thousand people passed.
