Bashkiria mountain trails are among three most popular in Russia
Tvil.ru, an accommodation booking service, polled social network users and found out which mountain routes are the most picturesque in Russia.
According to the survey, the most picturesque trekking routes are located in Crimea. More than 30 percent of active travelers follow the trails of Golitsyn, Botkinskaya, Chernorechensky canyon, Ai-Petri, and other tourist trails of the peninsula.
The second place went to mountain routes in Kabardino-Balkaria and Karachay-Cherkessia (almost 30%). Bashkiria won bronze in the ranking of the most beautiful mountain trails with 11%.
There are ten most popular walking routes in the ranking. These included trails in the Altai Territory, Karelia, Krasnodar Territory, Krasnoyarsk Territory, Kamchatka Territory, Murmansk Region, and near Lake Baikal (Irkutsk Region and Buryatia).
