

The Federal Air Transport Agency suggests flights for Muslims on pilgrimage from a number of cities, including Ufa. This was discussed at a meeting on the organization of air transportation to Saudi Arabia in 2022.
The participants - representatives of the Hajj Mission of Russia, the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, a number of Russian regions, tour operators and airlines, considered the possibility of organizing air flights from different cities: Moscow, Makhachkala, Grozny, Mineralnye Vody, Kazan, and Ufa.
“We discussed the issue of direct charter flights of Russian airlines and the possibility of transporting pilgrims through third countries with the involvement of foreign airlines,” the press service of the Federal Air Transport Agency said.
