Lake Talkas received protected status in Bashkiria
The Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, endowed Lake Talkas, located in the Baimaksky district, with a protected status. The corresponding decree was published on the official portal of legal information of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
According to the document, the search and extraction of minerals, drilling, blasting and mining, drainage and hydromelioration, laying of power lines and other communications, waste disposal, as well as all types of hunting are prohibited on the territory of the lake.
Recall that Lake Talkas was recognised as a natural monument on October 15, 2021.
