Bashkiria is preparing for Unified Immunization Week

In Bashkiria, preparations are underway for the Unified Immunization Week, which starts on April 24. This year it will be held under the motto "Long Life For All".

Immunization Week is held annually at the initiative of the World Health Organization. Russia, including the Republic of Bashkortostan, joined the campaign in 2006. This year the campaign will be held for the seventeenth time.

This annual event aims to raise awareness of the immunization importance for the health and well-being of people.

According to the regional Rospotrebnadzor, Bashkiria generally maintains high immunization coverage, while at the same time the number of children without vaccination protection is increasing every year.

Medical professionals will carry out explanatory work among the population about the importance of preventive vaccinations, the consequences of insufficient immunization coverage, the results achieved combatting infectious diseases, and they will answer all the questions of citizens about vaccination.

From April 24 to April 30, it is planned to conduct active immunization of the population subject to vaccination against infectious diseases in Bashkiria, with the invitation of persons subject to vaccination to medical organizations, visiting remote and hard-to-reach settlements by vaccination teams.
