Radiy Khabirov: Developments of Eurasian REC scientists are relevant and in demand

The Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, spoke on his Telegram channel about the major achievements of the Eurasian Research and Educational Center in 2021.

Thus, scientists from the Ufa Institute of Superplasticity of Metals of the Russian Academy of Sciences have developed a technology for manufacturing a key element of the PD-14 aircraft engine - a hollow fan blade. Thanks to this, Russia returned to the number of countries that own the full technology for the production of a gas turbine engine.

At the MAKS-2021 air show,  Ufa State Aviation Technical University presented a new generation engine for small aircraft, which can become a full-fledged replacement for foreign ones. The project won the nomination "Import substitution". Ufa State Petroleum Technological University together with NPF "Geofizika" develops equipment for data transmission during drilling and creates unique methods for increasing oil and gas recovery. Rostec, together with Gazprom, has completed the development of a gas turbine drive for gas compressor units.

In Bashkiria, work continues on the creation of a carbon landfill - the republic is one of the 12 regions where they will appear. Another important area of ​​work of the REC is the development of personalized medicine. Scientists of the republic presented the latest developments in DNA diagnostics and personalized monitoring of human health. These are unique methods for predicting the risk of developing oncology, cardiovascular, metabolic, and bronchopulmonary diseases.

“The REC has created 6 laboratories where young scientists will continue to work on their promising projects. We have come up with a series of grants for them, we are creating pre-universities and new modern educational programs. The republic donated over 2 billion rubles worth of innovative infrastructure, high-tech equipment, and laboratories to our universities,” Radiy Khabirov posted.

The Head of the Republic emphasized that the Eurasian REC was created as a center of scientific breakthroughs so that the developments of our scientists could be applied in practice. In the current situation, this has become even more relevant.
