

Explosive works began on the Ai River in the village of Mesyagutovo, Duvansky District, on April 5. The work is carried out by rescuers of the State Committee RB for Emergency Situations and military explosive specialists.
“Measures were taken as part of preventive measures to avoid ice jams and sharp rises in water levels with flooding of settlements. Explosive works will be carried out as necessary in places of possible ice jams,” Farit Gumerov, chairman of the State Committee for Emergency Situations RB posted on his Telegram channel.
Previously, such ice blasts have already been carried out on the Urshak River in the Chishminsky district.
