Russia resumes flights with 52 countries

Since April 9, Russia will lift restrictions on flights to 52 countries imposed due to the pandemic, including Argentina, India, China, South Africa, and other friendly states, TASS reports citing a statement by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

“From April 9, we are lifting the restriction on the fight against coronavirus infection, which applied to our regular and charter flights between Russia and several other countries,” Mishustin said and added that the corresponding document was signed on Monday.

According to the prime minister, the incidence of coronavirus infection is declining, so it is time to expand the destinations available to Russian airlines.

“Now we are resuming flights with 52 countries, including Argentina, India, China, South Africa, and other states friendly to us,” Mikhail Mishustin said, recalling that before that, it was possible to fly to 15 countries without restrictions, including some states of the Eurasian Economic Union, Qatar, Mexico, and others.
