

Representatives of industrial enterprises of Bashkiria agreed to finance the construction of new stations for automatic monitoring of atmospheric air pollution. In particular, Fedor Afanasyev, Deputy General Director of JSC "Bashkir Soda Company", announced this at a meeting of the working group of the State Assembly RB on monitoring the implementation of legislation in the field of atmospheric air protection, and Azamat Khabibullin, First Deputy General Director for Production of Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat LLC, promised to study the issue.
According to the head of the working group, Deputy Chairman of the State Assembly RB Rustam Ishmukhametov, this is a significant step forward in solving the problem of air pollution, in the future, it is planned to seek other enterprises to also take a financial part in the installation of stations since business must bear social responsibility for preserving the environment.
Today, 10 automated air pollution monitoring stations have been set up in Bashkiria: 2 each in the cities of Sterlitamak and Salavat, 3 in Ufa, and one each in Sibay, Uchaly, and the Uchalinsky district.
