Great South Ural Trail is partly marked and ready for tourists

In Bashkiria, the "Big South Ural Trail" is partially marked. The 300 km route passes through the Abzelilovsky, Beloretsky, and Uchalinsky regions of the republic.

Acting Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism of Bashkiria Rinat Fatkullin reported about it.

“Analogues of the trail in the world are such well-known routes as the Lycian trail; the path of Santiago; Appalachian trail. This route is fully marked. This year we will install three more information boards and seven signs,” he said.

“We want to complete the marking of the Great South Ural Trail by the beginning of the tourist season.

 At the beginning of June, volunteers and I will run a two-week marathon: we will put markings on trees and stones and renew them where they already are. This is important for safety, it is more difficult to get lost on the trail marked with bright paint and signs. Also this summer, we will begin preliminary marking of the Great South Ural Trail in the Chelyabinsk Region.

The total length of the trail will be more than 500 km and it will be the largest tourist site in Bashkiria in the Southern Urals,” Rais Gabitov, Ambassador of Bashkiria, founder of the Great South Ural Trail said.
